VocabLens ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the VocabLens mobile application.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details.

2. Camera and Image Processing

VocabLens uses your device camera to scan text. Images are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. We do not store or upload images unless explicitly required by a feature you choose to use.

3. Text Processing and AI Features

Text you scan or input may be processed to extract vocabulary, generate flashcards, or provide translations. Some processing may involve third-party services.

4. Third-Party Services

Depending on features used, limited data (such as text content and selected language pairs) may be sent to:

• Translation providers (e.g., Google Translate, MyMemory)
• Language analysis services (e.g., Datamuse)
• Cloud storage services (e.g., Supabase) for optional shared deck functionality

5. Data Storage

Your vocabulary lists and learning data are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly use cloud-based features.

6. Analytics and Tracking

VocabLens does not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

VocabLens does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page.
